Philippe Carlier

Connection to LFC: Entrepreneurship Volunteer

Nationality: French

Occupation: Board Member, French Tech; Co-founder, MT2; Co-founder, C&C Outdoor; VP of Operations, French-American Chamber of Commerce in Chicago

Past LFC Volunteerism: Start’up Lycée

Interesting Fact:

A long and successful career in the IT industry in France, Belgium, USA and Canada, gave me so many opportunities to learn skills such as project management at large scale, multicultural environments, managing a very large team of people, dealing with complex projects, building new warehouses, automation, crisis management, etc. Climbing from the very bottom of the job ladder to finish my career as VP Supply Chain WW in a Cyber-security company, I’ve successfully dealt with many different aspects of running a large organization.

Motivation for Joining the Board:

I have been amazed by the various programs in place at the Lycée to develop the students’ entrepreneurial spirit, and I had an opportunity to guide a small group of students with their start-up contest. This group went on to win the start-up contest and is well on its way to creating a company to develop an application to help many other students. Since then, my desire and interest to be part of the Lycée grew, which led me to this application to join the Board.

LFC is more than just a school to my family—it is a community that fosters intellectual curiosity, bilingualism, and a deep appreciation for diverse perspectives. With my professional background in human capital, leadership development, and change management, I see an opportunity to contribute my expertise to further strengthen the school’s governance, strategic planning, and community engagement. I am particularly passionate about fostering an inclusive and engaged school culture that supports students, parents, and faculty alike.

Jason Logman

Past LFC Volunteerism: Finance Committee of the LFC Board (Non-Board Member)

Interesting Fact:

CPA with over 25 years of management consulting experience focused on helping large-company Chief Financial Officers better manage and measure their business.

Motivation for Joining the Board:

Interesting Fact:

I’ve traveled overland from St. Petersburg to Yangshuo, China, mostly on the Trans-Siberian Railway, with occasional nights spent on strangers’ couches. Along the way, I spent a week in Mongolia and discovered that fermented mare’s milk is, in fact, an acquired taste.

Motivation for Joining the Board:

I believe deeply in the importance of developing the whole child, not just academically but socially, emotionally, and creatively. As the school continues to grow, I hope to help ensure that LFC continues to nurture well-rounded, curious learners in a diverse, inclusive, and inspiring environment.

My family is originally from Moscow, Russia, and I was born in Vienna, Austria, before moving to the U.S. at age five. I attended both American and Russian schools in the Washington, D.C. area through high school.

Motivation for Joining the Board:

I believe there is great potential to increase philanthropic support for the school by building a strong culture of giving within the community and developing a compelling case for support to drive major gifts. With my deep knowledge of the Chicago donor landscape and strong track record in securing transformational gifts, I am eager to help the Lycée achieve its long-term goals and financial sustainability.
